The Dumfries Information Session held on April 10th was a a great success. Imagining Natural Scotland would like to thank Dr Emily Brady for her thought-provoking presentation on environmental aesthetics and environmental ethics and to artist and planner, Timothy Collins for his presentation about the relationship between theory, practice in environmental art. We hope to post edited versions of their thought-provoking talks on the website by Tuesday. Imagining Natural Scotland would also like to thank Mike Bonaventura from the Crichton Carbon Centre, Jan Hogarth and Matt Baker for their assistance in organising this event.
During the event a number of participants expressed concern that the deadline for application to the funding stream was relatively short. Project manager, David Griffith explained that the selection panel are not expecting detailed proposals, since project development represents a key part of the INS narrative. Instead the selectors are looking for ‘the big ideas’ on how to tackle the key project questions together with CVs and supporting information from the teams. Should potential applicants have queries about the application process and timescales they should send an email to admin@imaginingnaturalscotland.org.uk
