Presenters
ASCUS Art Science Collaborative ( www.ascus.org.uk ) comprises a network of artists and scientists committed to the practice of collaboration between each discipline. Founded in 2008, ASCUS is neither an arts nor a scientific body, but a voluntary organisation and network of participants divided between the art and science communities. Their presentation will not only look at what artists can learn from scientists but also at what scientists can learn from artists.
Composer Julian Wagstaff and British Geological Survey scientist Simon Flower will be speaking to us about their experiences of art science collaboration. Exploring the challenges and rewards from both the artistic and the scientific perspectives.
Please note: anyone attending the information sessions who doesn’t want to appear on film should make their presence known to the filmmaker on the day.
